Gay American Heroes

"The Gay American Heroes Foundation believes that all people who live honestly about their sexual orientation or gender identity are heroic, as it takes great strength and courage to face the daily struggles for personal freedom in the face of enormous opposition; to ultimately lose their life for said freedom makes them heroes." "Gay American Heroes is an important and moving tribute to the lives lost to hate and violence."

I too hope that the movement is
a success.
Back several months ago there was
a man that passed away. The church
that he attended was going to have
his funeral there till they found
out that he was gay. Then they told
his mother that she needed to find
another place to have his funeral.
Because they didn't want his
sexual preferance "flaunted" as
they put it in their church.
I don't know what ever happened
with it all. I just hope that he
can rest in peace.

I'm keeping hope as well, everything goes well. I'm involved in Love See's No Borders, reguarding binational gay couples. Sometimes it's so overwealming to see all the pain in this community sometimes. I keep hoping we can struggle to make it better for the next generation to come out alright. Great project! It is appreciated!
